anahaw [anáhaw] n Palm species which has wide leaves and thorny midribs (It looks like a coconut palm). anahaw Kag ako paborito nak pamaypay ay human sa anahaw. My favourite fans are made out of the wide-leafed palm. [The trunks are used for posts and floors of houses, for making bows, spear shafts, canes and walking sticks. The leaves are used for weaving fans and making thatching for houses. The buds are edible and rather highly esteemed as a vegetable.
