Introduction

 

The Wushi language is spoken in the village of Babessi, east of Ndop. Babessi village is in the North West region of Cameroon: Ngo Ketunjia division, Babessi subdivision.

 

The Wushi language is classified as a South Ring Grassfields language: Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Volta-Congo, Benue-Congo, Bantoid, Southern, Wide Grassfields, Narrow Grassfields, Ring, South (http://www.ethnologue.com 2022).

 

There is still much work to do, but we have decided to publish this work-in-progress, in order to document the work that has been done so far. Our ambition is to publish early and often.
