Foreword

This online lexicon was based on the typed text of M. Chanal (Essay of the Cerma lexicon). Over the years, lexemes have been added resulting in this current lexicon which contains around 5,000 words. The alphabet used is modeled from the Burkinabè national alphabet, and the spelling is that which was adopted by the Ciraamba in February, 2008, based on the Niangoloko dialect. The lexicon therefore represents a concrete and important step towards the standardization of this written language. Its first goal is to help the Ciraamba to read and write their mother tongue. We invite readers to send us their questions, corrections, and suggestions for improvement.
