JacobSon of Isaac and Rebekah, twin to Esau. He was a schemer, which often got him into trouble, but God blessed him and used him to give rise to a nation of people. God later changed his name to Israel. He was the father of twelve sons who later became the heads of the twelve tribes of Israel.
