Foreword The members of the Lugwere Bible Translation and Literacy Association, together with several other Bagwere, and with expert support from SIL International, undertook to research the Lugwere vocabulary and came up with this Lugwere language Granary.
This book has been produced with the aim of aiding the Bagwere in understanding the words they hear about but without understanding their meanings, which makes them think they are words hackneyed from other languages. Moreover, it will as well help in preserving the Lugwere language in one piece and from corruption.
We have not be able to exhaust the list because of the limitations in time and the tools needed. Therefore, we request every Mugwere who has a word found missing in this Lugwere Granary to send it or otherwise bring it over to the Association’s office in Budaka, situated on the road to Iki-Iki.
