J , jletter J, and j. This letter and sound are represented more by the "Dy" and "dy" letters in conjunction, than by the J & j letters, as in a word like Dyios, God, dyadi, jawl, Indyari [and so..], mekedyadi [able to do], keradya [work]. However, there are words spelled with the j, like: Jakarta, jaul, Jeep, Jesus, jewl, jiukup, Judio, & Judaismo, mostly borrowed words. Sometimes it is pronounced as in Spanish with an "H" sound, as in Jesus [Hesus], Judio [Hudio].
