Dictionary Entries explained

 

The entries in this Tagakaulo dictionary consist of a headword followed by the abbreviation for the part of speech. Then the definition is given in English.

There may be a supplementary comment in brackets, as in the example below:

ableg V fly straight and far [Said of an arrow that is shot well.]
 

The headword may be immediately followed by the phonetic pronunciation in brackets. The abbreviation SCE means semantic core element. After the definition in English, other related words may follow. In the example below, three derived forms are given:

The following example shows the semantic domain number and category associated with the headword. It also lists the academic domain:
