The development of the Tajio language has been due to the dedication of language scholars as well as members of the community. We appreciate all those who have been involved in the production of this dictionary.

Dr. Nikolaus Himmelmann produced the following book on the Tajio language in 2001:

Himmelmann, Nikolaus P. 2001. Sourcebook On Tomini-Tolitoli languages General information and word lists. Pacific Linguistics, Canberra. Xxii, 436 p.

Some of the words contained in his book were later crosschecked with native speakers in the villages that use the northern dialect.

We hope that many will find this online dictionary to be a helpful reference tool for learning the Tajio language.
