Entries explained

 

The basic entry in Tampulma consists of a headword followed by its part of speech, then an English definition. An example sentence may be given followed by the English translation.

In the following example, the noun has a plural ending following the headword.

aan (pl:-ta) Noun (type of) antelope Zinan Tɔmi ma fa duŋni aannɛ a la kpu un. Today Tommy chased an antelope and killed it.

Some entries consist of a phrase.

vɛ kpak saha Verb to not have time Ii vɛ kpak saha daha, yaa wa la dooniu. Because you did not have time, we did not go there.
