Entries explained

An entry in the Tem dictionary consists of a headword followed by the part of speech. Then the definition is given in French.

In the following example, the part of speech of the headword is n (for noun):
baagbéḿbíyá n hache servant à couper les noix de palme

Entries may also include example sentences. Sometimes a word carries more than one meaning. In this dictionary, distinct meanings are numbered. The example headword below has five distinct definitions. This word is also followed by a derived form with an additional meaning.
