Introduction

This Waama-French dictionary is the product of the collaboration between SIL Benin and the "Centre National de Linguistique Appliquée" (CENALA), who cooperate on the basis of an agreement signed in 1984 and an "Accord de Siège" between the government of Benin and SIL signed in 1998. It is the result of the work of a team composed of SIL members and native speakers of the language, which is spoken in the region of Natitingou (Département de l'Atacora, République du Bénin). It follows the orthographic standards established by CENALA.
